Identify and develop leadership potential
Identify & Develop Leadership Potential
Dr Caroline Pryer, Headteacher is our National Leader in Education with particular interest in bespoke CPD for all schools.
SLE/LP; CPD; and SPTM: Specialist Leaders in Education/Lead Practitioners; Continual Professional Development; and Succession Planning and Talent Management.
The PPTA offers both Specialist Leaders in Education and Lead Practitioners who are ready and keen to share best practice to support schools with any aspect of teaching and learning in most subjects and areas of the curriculum and provision. We are committed to developing the teaching profession to identify talent; manage this to the reveal the highest potential for the staff; and provide a wealth of talent prepared to take roles of responsibility as opportunities arise. This happens through effective CPD, training, communication, coaching and the sharing of best practice.
At Ponteland Middle we have five LPs: Mrs Danielle Brett, ITT/SD; Mrs Sue Calvert, CPD, HoY8 and Head of Maths; Mrs Mo Garner, Head of YoY5 & KS2 Manager, Mr Adam Burgess, HoY7 and Licenced Thrive Practitioner and Mrs Elizabeth Blackburn, SENDCo leading a team of ten specialist TA/HLTAs. Throughout the PPTA we utilise the wide variety of strengths of our strategic partners – the list can be found on a previous page. In September 2017 we welcome two LPs to the staff, Mrs Jane Summers, KS3 & KS4 English; and Mr Peter Cass, KS3 & KS4 Maths.
